Bill Oswald lends more than his name to the firm – he is the touchstone of the technical, code and construction-related expertise of SOA. As a principal since 1995, Bill is responsible for project oversight and provides his skills and experience in the critical areas of building envelope design, specifications, construction details, budget and cost analyses, quality review and construction management. He is both doer and teacher, leading by example and mentoring the design team in the practical application of architectural design, challenging and inspiring them to be thoughtful, resourceful and caring professionals. Some of Bill’s particularly rewarding projects include Missouri Employers Mutual Insurance Office Building (MEM), Battle High School (a joint venture with DLR Group), Missouri Governor’s Mansion renovation, South Providence Medical Building and Capital Region Medical Center. Bill became an architect in 1982, licensed in 1988 and came to SOA in 1990.
