The Columbia Police Department’s (CPD) Headquarters was constructed in 1978 and since that time has undergone several renovations. When the City recently decided to remodel, with a focus on ADA and security upgrades, SOA was selected to lead the design. SOA began by assessing the existing space usage and then organizing the desired modifications into a complex sequence of eight phases, enabling CPD to remain in operations during the remodel.
